Happy dance! The (thankfully downgraded to tropical) storm came, with plenty of rain* and rather strong winds, and moved on. In our little community there was hardly any damage, other places did not fare so well, but overall – it could have been worse. Now one can only hope that this will not happen more…

It is raining, but not hard. According to the weather graphs, the really bad stuff (wind & rain) will come in tonight. Nothing to look forward to, nothing to avoid.

Fifth Summer
Fifth summer in the desert and dead on time the monsoon started. Yesterday we had the first thunderstorm with few, but very impressive flashes of lightning in between rambling thunder and then the rain started.
